Urasenke Midorikai Alumni Association

Excitement over the first-time ever Urasenke Midorikai Alumni Association International Intensive Study is growing! Thank you so much for the large numbers of expressions of interest.

Concrete plans are almost finalized and more details of the Intensive Study, including an application form, are now available. We are so fortunate that Oiemoto and Daisosho have agreed to our request for this study opportunity.

If you would like a current schedule of events and fees, a description of the optional educational activities, and an application form, please request these from urasenkemidorikai@gmail.com, the UMAA official email.

The deadline for the application form to be received is January 1, 2018. We expect to send back registration confirmation by early February 2018.

The first three days of the study are being administered by Urasenke Konnichian and Kokusaibu. Participating alumni will attend all the events of the first three days. The estimated total cost for the three days is ¥55,000, which includes gyotei sensei orei, Onsodo orei, 3 lunches, and 2018 UMAA membership.

UMAA is organizing additional study opportunities for the last two days of the program, which are optional. Many of the experiences are limited to 20 participants. You may indicate which of the opportunities you are interested in on the application form.

Please note all costs are approximate and may change due to yen/dollar exchange rates, bank fees, etc.

Looking forward to seeing you in Kyoto!
